MISSION FRIENDS IN JANUARY

Has your child ever said, “watch this!” We’re going to be having lots of “watch this!” moments in Mission Friends in January, with fun science experiments and learning more about all of Jesus’ watch this moments! We’ll learn about Jesus walking on water, feeding over 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, and how Jesus turned water into a super fancy party drink (wine). Through it all, we’ll learn that  Jesus can do anything, and that He’s the one we should watch!
We’ll also be learning more about missionaries who are teaching about all of Jesus’ “watch this” moments!

MISSION FRIENDS IN FEBRUARY

The sweetest news we know is that Jesus loves everyone! Grab some Valentine candy  and join us on Wednesday nights for Sweet Shop, where we’ll learn about Jesus’ love for us. Our preschoolers will learn about the woman at the well who nobody talked to. They’ll learn about Zacchaeus, a tax collector that everybody tried to ignore. They’ll learn about a woman who no one else loved who was about to be stoned to death for doing something wrong. And they’ll learn about Peter, who denied Jesus three times just when Jesus needed him the most. They will learn that it doesn’t matter what we do, Jesus will always love us. And that’s sweeter than any Valentine candy out there!
Our preschoolers will also be learning about missionaries around the world who show others just how much Jesus loves them!

RAs and GAs IN JANUARY

January is a time for new beginnings and New Year’s Resolutions! Many people resolve to go to the gym more or to be more active. In January, our elementary kids will be learning what it means to “Work it Out! Stick to the Plan.” In order to experience faith, kids need to practice their faith, which takes commitment. This month, we’re going to learn how we hear from God, how we can pray to God, who we can talk with about God, and how we can live for God. Bring your elementary aged child to our Large Group time Wednesday nights at 6:30 in E258 for them to learn how to Work It Out for God!

RAs and GAs IN FEBRUARY

February is a time when we celebrate the love we have for others (and they for us), and the love that God has for us. One of the ways that we show love to others is through kindness. Our Large Group theme for February is Rewind: Kindness Deserves a Replay. God was kind to us even when we didn’t deserve it, when He sent Jesus so that we could always be friends with God. This month we will be learning what kindness looks like (and that we should be kind to others because God is kind to us). We will also be learning when it’s hard to be kind, and what to do. We’ll be talking about times when people have been kind to us when we didn’t expect it, and finally, we will be learning how we can be kind to others who aren’t kind to us. Bring your elementary aged child to our Large Group time Wednesday nights at 6:30 in E258 for them to learn how to Rewind: Kindness Deserves a Replay!
